Big resolutions tend to fade within weeks. Small habits, repeated often, are what change how you feel. Here are five simple places to start, based on NHS guidance.
1. Move a little, most days
NHS guidance for adults is at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week, such as brisk walking or cycling, plus strengthening activities on at least two days. That can sound like a lot, but it is around 20 minutes a day, and every bit counts. Start with a short walk after lunch and build from there.
2. Protect your sleep
Most adults need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep a night. Going to bed and getting up at similar times each day, and putting your phone down a little earlier, are two of the simplest ways to sleep better.
3. Eat for energy, not perfection
You do not need a strict diet. Aim for at least five portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables a day, drink enough water and notice how different foods make you feel. Small swaps beat big rules.
4. Give your mind a few quiet minutes
A few minutes of breathwork, meditation or simply writing down how you feel can help you notice stress early, before it builds. A short daily check-in is a powerful habit on its own.
5. Stay connected
Social connection is one of the most overlooked parts of health. Message a friend, join a group session or take part in a challenge with others. Doing things together makes them far easier to keep up.
Make it stick
Pick one habit, not five. Make it small enough that you cannot fail, attach it to something you already do, and track it. Once it feels automatic, add the next one.
That is exactly how VYVE is designed: a plan built around you, daily habits, check-ins and a community that keeps you going. Start your 30 days free.
